ARES Net

The Fresno County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) net, is held every Monday evening at 1930 hours Pacific Time/0230 hours UTC.  The repeater frequency is 147.15 (+) 141.3  In the event the repeater is inoperative, the net will occur at the same time, but will be conducted as a simplex (non-repeated) event.

We also accept check-ins via winlink at fcemcomm@winlink.org. You can check in at any time on the day of the net (0001-2359 local). Please only send from winlink express either through telnet or a gateway. Please use the template located here.

We also do message traffic practice after our regular voice net every other week offset by PSK31 practice on the weeks that we don’t do message traffic. Please check the calendar or ARES Connect for more details. Additional information and previous messages can be located here.

Click here for the Fresno ARES fldigi macro file. This was created to simplify being a NCS and a participant. The teal buttons on the left are for the NCS, red buttons in the middle for participants, and the purple buttons on the right are for different modes. These macros are not mandatory but make nets faster and easier.

All licensed amateur radio operators are welcome to participate in this directed net, and can check in as a guest initially, and later as a "called" operator after joining the ARES team.

Thanks and hope to hear you on the net or a winlink check-in!
