The schedule for the month of July 2018: 4 Monday Night Nets, 1 EmComm Meeting, 1 EmComm & Coffee, and 1 Public Service Event.
Climb to Kaiser
The Climb to Kaiser Rides was held July 7. This is one of the most grueling cycling events in the state. It starts on the Valley floor and rises to over 9,000 ft. above sea-level to Kaiser Pass, east of Huntington Lake. Amateur Radio operators maned 9 rest stops and the Start-Finish. Our members alone put in over 89 man-hours on this event. The public service projects sometimes have long hours but are one of our best training tools.
Our next event will be the Tour de Fresno. It will be held September 15, 2018. There is a need for more operators, if you can spare some time please contact Rob Mavis (AE6GE) at AE6GE@k6arp.org.

ANNOUNCEMENT, UPCOMING EMCOMM (CARP)
2018 PUBLIC SERVICE EVENTS
September 15, 2018 – Tour de Fresno Bicycle Ride
October 13, 2018 – Bass Lake Double Century Bicycle Ride
If you would like to volunteer to work one or more of these events please go to k6arp.org and signup. You may also email Rob Mavis at (AE6GE@ae6ge.com).
Remember we use these public service events as training venues. We recommend that you participate in at least three events a year. Soon this will be mandatory for you to keep your ability to be deployed during a disaster. Remember we want to have qualifications and operational levels for our operators. This will help when we are asked to perform mutual aid for other County ARES/RACES Groups. When they ask for help, they want our people qualified.

Net Control Staff Needed
We are looking for volunteers to take a turn as net control on Monday nights. This is not a difficult task. We will provide the preamble and net roster.
